Life Events
A life event is a season of change that causes disruption to our regular experience of the world. It can be positive or negative; planned or unplanned.
Many life events can leave us feeling as though the “ map” we relied upon to help us navigate our world is no longer accurate or available. Some transitions cause short term disruption, but other times there is a need for additional support. If this describes the season you are experiencing, reach out!
Some examples of life events I address in therapy include:
Moving and Changes in Social Support Network
New Career or New Job, Ending of Career or Job
Relationship Change: Marriage, Divorce, Breakups
Parenting Transitions: New Parenthood, Young Children, Teens, Empty Nest
Religious Deconversion, Spiritual Transitions, Deconstructing
Caregiving Role Transitions due to Illness, Aging
Health & Physical Changes
Grief & Loss
Sexuality, Gender Exploration
In one lifetime we can be reborn many times. -Yung Pueblo
