Some seasons are too heavy to carry alone.
Therapy for adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life in transition — using EMDR and IFS. In Mt. Juliet, TN and online across Tennessee, South Carolina, and Florida.
If any of this feels familiar —
You came to the right place.
You're functioning on the outside and quietly falling apart on the inside.
The anxiety showed up out of nowhere, and now it won't leave.
Something happened to you years ago, and you've never really been able to put it down.
You're grieving something other people can't see — or don't think counts.
You and your partner keep having the same fight in different clothes.
You just want someone who actually gets it — not advice you've already read.
How I Can Support You
I work with adults across a wide range of experiences — the ones that bring people to therapy for the first time, and the ones they've been carrying for years.
Anxiety
The racing mind, the tight chest, the worry that won't switch off — even when everything looks fine from the outside.
Depression
When the things that used to matter don't, and getting through the day takes everything you have.
Trauma & PTSD
Something happened, and your body still hasn't gotten the message that it's over. EMDR can help you put it down.
Life Transitions
Divorce, a career change, an empty nest, caregiving, moving, starting over — the in-between is its own kind of hard.
Perimenopause & Midlife
The rage, the insomnia, the anxiety that arrived out of nowhere. It isn't all in your head — and you're not too old to feel better.
Relationships & Couples
The same fight on repeat. The distance that crept in slowly. Therapy for partners who want to find their way back.
Parenting Teens
Support for the parent — when your kid has stopped talking to you and every approach you try seems to make it worse.
Living With a Medical Diagnosis
Everyone asks about your treatment plan. Almost no one asks how you're actually doing with it.
Therapy That Goes Deeper Than Coping Skills
Insight alone rarely changes how you feel. These two approaches work at the level where the pattern actually lives — and they're the backbone of how I practice.
EMDR Therapy
One of the most researched trauma treatments available. EMDR works when talking alone hasn't — processing the experiences your nervous system is still holding onto, so the memory stops hijacking your present. You don't have to retell the story over and over.
IFS — Internal Family Systems
The part of you that's exhausted and the part that keeps pushing anyway aren't a contradiction — they're both trying to protect you. IFS helps you understand those parts instead of fighting them, so the inner conflict finally has somewhere to go.
I'm also DBT-informed and draw on ACT — not because these approaches are popular, but because they work. We'll use what fits you.
Perinatal & Reproductive Mental Health
Alongside my general practice, I hold advanced training through Postpartum Support International in pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, and loss.
Anxiety in pregnancy has different triggers than general anxiety. Grief after a miscarriage is disenfranchised in ways other grief is not. Postpartum OCD is widely misunderstood. Working with someone who already knows this means you don't have to explain it from scratch.

Hi, I'm Jennifer Bartley, LMFT
I became a therapist because I believe that some seasons of life are simply too heavy to carry alone — and because I've felt some of those seasons myself.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and the transitions that reshape a life. I use EMDR, IFS, DBT, and ACT — not because they're popular, but because they work.
I'm a mother of four. I've experienced loss, major life transitions, and the particular exhaustion that comes with becoming a parent. I bring that understanding into the room with me — as a reminder that this work matters deeply to me.
What Therapy With Me Is Actually Like
Collaborative, not prescriptive
I'll follow your lead on what you need in each session — whether that's processing something painful, building skills for the week ahead, or simply having a place to say the thing you can't say anywhere else. You set the pace.
You don't have to arrive organized
Plenty of people come in unable to name what's wrong — just that something is. You don't need a diagnosis, a tidy narrative, or a reason good enough to justify being here. We'll figure out the shape of it together.
Depth when you're ready for it
Some weeks are about getting through. Others are about going deeper. Because I'm trained in both EMDR and IFS, we can move into real trauma work when the timing is right — without you having to start over with someone new.
