My Approach

I believe that the seasons of pregnancy, infertility, loss, and early parenthood are some of the most profound — and most underserved — periods in a person's life. They carry immense joy and immense grief, often at the same time. That paradox deserves a therapist who understands it deeply, not one who is learning alongside you.

My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and always led by what you need. I draw on EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to process trauma and difficult experiences stored in the body. I use IFS (Internal Family Systems) to understand the different parts of you that may be in conflict — the part that wants to try IVF again and the part that is exhausted, the part that loves your baby and the part that grieves who you used to be.

DBT and ACT skills help with regulation, distress tolerance, and learning to hold two truths at once. I bring all of these tools into the room with flexibility — because what you need this session may be different from what you need next month.

I do not believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. I believe in listening carefully, following your pace, and trusting that you are the expert on your own experience.

A Personal Connection

I am a mother of four. I have navigated pregnancy, postpartum transitions, loss, and the kinds of life changes that reshape a person. These experiences don't make me your therapist because of my story — but they do mean that when you sit with me, you are sitting with someone who understands in a bone-deep way what it feels like to be in the middle of it.

When I'm not in the therapy room, I am outdoors — hiking, camping, and finding the same kind of grounding in nature that I try to offer my clients. That love of the outdoors is part of why I offer walk and talk therapy at local trails, and why I believe movement and nature can be genuine therapeutic tools.
