Pregnancy
and Postpartum Therapy
Support for emotional changes, identity shifts, and mental health during pregnancy and early parenthood.
"We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty." — Maya Angelou
Therapy During Pregnancy
Pregnancy is often painted as a season of pure joy, but the reality is frequently much more complex. It can include major physical changes, hormone fluctuations, and emotional rollercoasters.
We support parents-to-be navigating:
Prenatal Anxiety: Excessive worry about the health of the baby, the birth, or the future.
Unique Journeys: Support for those navigating surrogacy, adoption, or pregnancy after infertility.
Childbirth Fears: Working through Tokophobia (fear of childbirth) or past medical trauma.
Intrusive Thoughts: Scary or unwanted thoughts that feel difficult to control.
Relationship Changes: Preparing your relationship for the transition from partners to parents.
Postpartum Support & Recovery
The "fourth trimester" brings countless adjustments. If you don't feel like yourself, you are not alone. Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) are the number one complication of childbirth, and they are treatable.
We provide evidence-based treatment for:
Postpartum Depression (PPD): Feeling numb, disconnected, or overwhelmingly sad.
Postpartum Anxiety (PPA): Inability to sleep, racing thoughts, or constant panic.
Postpartum Rage: Sudden irritability or intense anger that feels out of character.
Bonding & Feeding: Stress associated with breastfeeding/feeding or difficulty feeling connected to your baby.
Identity Loss: Grieving your old life while adjusting to the caregiving role.
