A Place That Keeps It Real
Most spaces for new parents are highlight reels. This group is the opposite. You don't need a profound insight or a solution — just what's actually true for you this week.
Each Friday follows a simple rhythm. First, we share — each parent names a high and a low from the week. Then, we focus on a topic — mom guilt, sleep, the postpartum body, relationships, and more — with handouts and, on some weeks, a guest expert.
What to Expect
- Facilitated by Jennifer Bartley, LMFT — with advanced perinatal mental health training (PSI).
- Babies welcome. Crying, feeding, nursing, all of it. Quiet spots nearby if you need privacy.
- Confidential. What's said in the group stays in the group.
- Lasting community. Many parents graduate with a friend group — the people you meet here often outlast this season.
Weekly Topics
A few of the themes we cover — with handouts to take home and, on some weeks, a guest expert in the room.
Mom & Parent Guilt
The feeling you're not doing enough — where it comes from and how to talk back to it.
Relationships After Baby
How a new baby changes things with your partner, friends, and family. What helps.
Sleep — with a Sleep Consultant
GuestNaps, nights, regressions — with a guest sleep consultant for your specific questions.
Pelvic Floor — with a Guest PT
GuestWhat's normal, what's not, and where to get help — with a pelvic floor physical therapist.
Postpartum Depression & Anxiety
Recognizing the signs. When to reach out. What treatment actually looks like.
Self-Care When You Have Zero Time
What counts as self-care when you're depleted. Permission to redefine it.
…plus many more. Topics rotate throughout the year.
Our Group Agreements
A few promises we keep for each other.
Everyone is welcome here.
Open to all parents. We're building a diverse, welcoming community of support.
Judgement-free.
There are a lot of ways to parent. Sharing what worked for you is great — just don't assume it's right for someone else. We support each other even when our choices look different.
Come as you are.
Show up when you can. There's no "late." Showered, dressed, polished — all optional.
Be real.
Having a new baby is hard. Be honest about how it's going. Postpartum anxiety, depression, and struggle are open topics here — no pretending required.
Pay it forward.
If you can, contribute the suggested donation. And when it's time, graduate with a friend group — the people you meet here often become long-term support.
Is This For You?
This group is for you if…
- • You're pregnant or postpartum and want community
- • You want a space that doesn't require performing okay-ness
- • You'd rather hear what's real than what's polished
- • You're craving even one hour of community a week
This is not…
- • Group therapy (no diagnosis required)
- • A class teaching the “right” way to parent
- • A space for toddlers or older kids
- • Religious or affiliated with any belief system
